The Egress Endurance Project exists to empower and encourage individuals battling addiction by helping them find a way out through structured endurance-based programs, outdoor movement, intentional goal setting, and the strength of a supportive community.
Through running, hiking, racing, and shared challenges, we hope to replace destructive habits with purposeful ones—creating environments where individuals can rebuild discipline, rediscover identity, and reclaim hope.
We believe every person is more than their struggle, and no one should have to fight their way out alone.

Mission:
The Egress Endurance Project exists to help 100 individuals find sobriety by 2030 through outdoor, endurance-based programs that encourage movement, build community, strengthen relationships, and foster purposeful goal-setting.
The Forward Together Collective:
This is an encouraging, empowering, and supportive program of the Egress Endurance Project, designed to help individuals battling addiction find a positive outlet through getting outdoors, moving their bodies, and building community.
The program runs for 8 weeks, featuring one group run or hike per week, and concludes with completing a race together as a team. All program and race costs are fully covered by the Egress Endurance Project. The inaugural group will include 5–10 participants and will launch in April 2026.
To launch this program, the Egress Endurance Project is seeking to partner with 1–2 local organizations to help identify and support participants who would benefit from this opportunity.
In addition, the Egress Endurance Project is seeking 5 individuals to participate in a 6–12 month research project exploring how movement, time outdoors, and community correlate with overcoming addiction and maintaining sobriety.

Empowering athletes to turn endurance events into purpose-driven platforms—raising awareness and support for those battling addiction. Every step taken declares: healing is possible, adversity can be overcome, and no one fights alone.
Do hard things. Inspire hope. Support recovery.

2026: 4 - For Rachael Running Project:
Four ultra-distance races. One courageous woman. One continued fight.
In 2026, Jason Parks will complete four ultramarathons in honor of his sister-in-law Rachael, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon and liver cancer in 2024. After receiving a life-saving liver transplant, Rachael continues her brave battle—and this project stands with her.
Each race is a declaration of hope, strength, and support—raising critical funds to help her and her family face the ongoing challenges of treatment and recovery.
4 Ultras. One Family. One Fight. #4forRachael
